Gertrude Weaver, 116, became the oldest person on earth after Misao Okawa passed away at 117.

A lifelong Razorback fan, she still has her wits about her and enjoys visits from family and friends at her nursing home.

She is one of only six people still alive who were born in the 19th century.

Her birthday is July 4th, 1898.

What if all Arky fans lived this long?

How long do you want to live?

Mrs. Weaver calling the Hogs

Mrs. Weaver wants Pres. Obama to visit her for her 117th birthday party on July 4th.

Meanwhile, my 6 year old nephew has seen Bama win 3 national titles.

My nephew's dad (aka my brother) lettered at Alabama. He was a football player here. Nice try on the sidewalk joke though

who cares?

it wasn't really meant as a sidewalk joke anyway- it's simply because once basketball season hit and bama fans realized they sucked then they turned into ky fans.

I was trying to make sense of your comment. I see now how foolish that was

Most 6 year olds I know are indeed sidewalk fans. I don't know the exact percentage, but it's probably around 99%+

do you often speak or type 'aloud' to yourself?

I do subvocalize, I'm not a speed reader which is an entirely different method. Just a regular fast reader. It's not related at all, but having a conversation with myself does help me work out problems and I'm not ashamed. Generally, I like talking about myself so thank you for asking. Of course I don't read aloud or move my lips, I wouldn't even be able to keep up. I do wonder why you put 'aloud' inside a quotation.

i put aloud in quotations because i discussing both talk and type- and unless we're just talking about the keys clicking, it's not really aloud.

congrats on your fast reading, i hope you've been publicly recognized for such a feat.
