Gates/Jobs is kinda the Tesla/Edison thing.

Steve Jobs was an unmitigated selfish a-hole. Not charitable, not kind, cheated the Woz, stole a lot of ideas and sued others for less heinous acts than he committed.

Gates, while I don't like his politics, is notoriously kind, charitable, and a down to earth family man. Microsoft also helped keep Apple afloat in their misguided years.

History worships one, while vilifying another.
