Now Jimmy Herring can get back to playing with world class musicians instead of these clowns.

WSP is like if Creed and Phish had a retarded redneck baby.

They're terrible. I've never understood the southern frat-boy fascination with such a terrible band.

Saw them in Athens, Tuscaloosa, Atlanta, and Nashville. Always put on great live shows.

I won't listen to them in the car or anything, but they usually have good live shows.

They had a pretty unique sound when Houser was still alive. His use of the volume pedal and pentatonic scale was pretty good. Certainly not a world class guitar player, but he found his niche sound and made it work.

Herring is a great guitar player but his style doesn't fit with the band, IMO. They're sound now is cringe worthy.

I live near the bankplus amphitheater in Southaven and saw them there last year because a bunch of my wookie friends from college came to town to see them.

I only drank beer and had a great time simply from people watching. The weirdest motherfrickers I've ever seen in my life. I also had never been around my friends in their element like that and kind of felt differently about them afterwards. They were typical fratty OM students normally but went all out for this concert.

I saw absolutely zero appeal to the music though. Blew my mind how people were so into it.

Why did it blow your mind? Because you didn't like it?

too bad you didn't get it. Try some weed. It will open your mind and sensitize your hearing and then you might hear what you are not

It blew my mind because people were dancing around like they were losing their minds to 30 minute keyboard solos.

You oughtta see a Dead fan in action if you thought WSP was bad. I won tickets to dead and co this past year in Nashville, and I've never seen anything like it. People were being dragged off the floor every 3-5 minutes that had passed out or whatever. The rest were 60 year old men dancing like ballerinas

I don't think they're terrible or anything. Like k wouldn't mind listening to them while chilling outside or something. I just don't understand how it draws the response it does from some people.

Ok, I do understand, it's the drugs. Still doesn't make it reasonable.

Some people are into things that you don't understand? Pretty simple. Just accept that you don't understand it.

Look at the bright side. You and other Widespread fans will have more time to do things you haven't done in so long.

Like taking a shower.
