If people are dumb enough to worship by holding snakes and end up getting bit and die why should we care? Let Em die

The govt drives me crazy sometimes, you can't protect ppl from themselves

Because they probably don't have health insurance (besides jesus) and they get bitten and go to the emergency room where they can't pay.

And they have their kids do it too.

Personally I think consenting adults should be allowed to do whatever stupid activity they want as long as it doesn't involve children. And as long as they sign to refuse any money from the government for health care.

"Sorry we can't admit you to the emergency room. You signed the form that said you wanted to be a dumb shite, remember?"

I've noticed often that the people most likely to meet their demise by natural selection also happen to be those who vote Democratic. They are protecting their constituency.

I knew this argument would come up and I understand it but it's not like there is a bunch of it going on, not enough extra expense to matter really

The kids thing is another issue though

I know those movie types put gerbils up their backsides in the 80's but there is no way in hell I am putting a venomous snake with big fangs up my backside!

Haven't you noticed? The Government is anti-natural selection.

This is indeed the problem, IMO. Quite literally. If we let people suffer the consequences for the mistakes they're destined to experience, we'd have a lot fewer dependents on the public dole.

Frankly, I don't understand the obsession we have with saving every life, especially those who deliberately put themselves in extremely dangerous situations. Fondling unmilked rattlesnakes with bare hands is just stupidly dangerous.

Now we are getting somewhere. The nonbelievers are showing their lack of faith in the lord.

FWIW, have any of you actually been to a snake church? Granted it has been ages since my last visit but imagine a hot, sweaty church filled with snakes and reverse mormons.

The Government has gotten too big and too invasive in our lives.

Never been, but had a decently in depth research project on the subject in college. The strychnine just puts the crazy level over the top. Sand Mountain seems like something from another world.
