That link seems to be very useful and obviously fulfills a need.....but I personally find my answer to be more entertaining.

I inadvertently tried your suggestion and it worked.

You're welcome.

Inadvertently? You accidentally found yourself in your front yard bemoaning the temporary demise of the rant and questioning your very existence?

Did anyone answer you, inadvertently or otherwise?

The answer is obviously "yes", someone answered me.

Really? What was the answer? Did the speaker have an ethereal quality? Was there a concentration of light? Did you feel as though you were surrounded by love? Were you given any messages to pass on to the rest of us?

I'm always surrounded by love. I'm a lovable sort of guy. The message was "Quit yer bitchin'. It's back."

Thank you for relating those words of wisdom to those of us not fortunate enough to have experienced the message firsthand. I may have that inspiring quote stitched on a pillow or something.

As a side note, do you believe that you received this message from the King of All Poultry, himself, or do you feel it came from an even higher, more heavenly, less feathery power? I guess I just never realized that God might have a noticeable accent.

I'm unable to confirm or deny that statement at this time.
So you are unable to do nothing. Interdasting. I too can often do nothing.

Fascinating. Are you capable of starting outrageous, unsubstantiated rumors? I would be happy to back them up, adding to your credibility. Or would that be too much like NOT doing nothing for your comfort?

We have been playing that game with the mizzou coaching change, but that is too easy.

What did you have in mind?

The quiet, unobtrusive instigation of shenanigans solely for my amusement.

I'm pretty sure my college roommate, now a Lutheran minister and a Rant regular, is somehow responsible for the message and for having an inside line to the Big Guy. I get... messages... from him from time to time. Most of his messages are along the lines of "PBR rocks!", which I've never really understood. But today the "Quit yer bitchin'" message was loud and clear.

Minister and Rant Regular?

I never would think those two are compatible.

I have been considering starting an unsubstantiated rumor about what I am capable of concealing, but that is too much like not not doing nothing

Have you considered the possibility that someone (perhaps even a rant-loving Lutheran minister) staged the ethereal voice from the heavens as part of an elaborate prank? It's only a thought, of course, but if it proves to be true I'm sure you'll look into the consequences of impersonating our illustrious and revered leader. One might think such a crime might be punishable by banning. I'm not saying your friend DID impersonate a higher power in order to ridicule you and your followers when you delivered unto us your heavenly message, I'm merely suggesting that you consider the possibility.

Well, I know I said I would be willing to back up your stories in order to validate your claims, but I'd rather keep my distance from this particular discussion, in order to avoid awkwardness.
