My whole family came over on the Mayflower, proceeded to rape and pillage an entire continent, sailed to Africa and stole a bunch of locals, bright them back and forced them into a slavery camp on our plantation until some jealous yankees decided to stop it....

All my white folks who say otherwise in their history are full of shite. Because this is what the world knows to be true.

Seriously though...

Mom's family from England, dad's from Germany.

I actually did a 23andme recently. I'm 92% British/Welsh and 7% Native/some kind of East Asian.

It also said I was .6% sub-saharan African, so I get to tell people I'm a brother now

We have done both paternal and maternal lineage dna test with my mom and my dad, so four sets of dna tracing.

I'll try to post up the dna flow maps on Monday buts it's interesting to see how a source dna has migrated through the world and time.

Other than you, I find it interesting that no one among those that responded even entertain the possibility that they also may have ties to African lineage.

I'm pretty sure that, among all of us in this thread, at least a couple have a small percentage that can be attributed to the era when slavery existed.

For sure. There was a shitload of mixing that went on.

The #GreatAmericanMeltingPot didn't let a trifling little matter like slavery stop the party

I'm about as white as a person can get, but that half a percent helps me understand why I drink Colt 45 and King Cobra by choice.

I need all the cool points I can get, quite frankly.

If you go back far enough, all humans have African ties because that's where we originated. Sometimes I hear Mother Africa calling to me.

Can you give me your Last Names?

You don't really have to give much else as I don't trust how things work on the internet.

But I think these things are fascinating.

Cosper, Steil, Brazil, Patillo, Hendrix, and Youngs were all a part of my family.

I literally have no clue about those names, but am interested nontheless.

It is good to know about your family sometimes, I suppose.
