Got a one-eyed beagle that wandered up to my ex-wifes house. Son drug him to my house. He keeps an eye on things while we're gone.

Only one eye, but many names. He doesn't answer to any of them.
Name 1: "Cy". No, not after Cy Robertson. Short for 'Cyclops'.

Name 2: He likes to sit on the roof of his house. When up there, he goes by 'Roofus'.

Name 3: If he's barking (which he loves to do in the middle of the night), he goes by 'Woofus'.

If he continues very long in the middle of the night, I have other names for him. He doesn't answer to those as well.

Oh, I'll bet. Hound dogs don't have an ounce of mean in them when it comes to people, kids or other dogs. My Walker just stood there and took the beating from this fat lady, and when a dog attacks him at the park, he doesn't cry or fight back he just slips out of it then stares at the dog.

Hate to hear about your hounds getting stolen, it's awful. I've been worried about that with mine and my girlfriend thinks I'm crazy.

Doggie rescue ... we've placed a couple of hundred over the years, mostly Border Collies after "Babe" and Huskies after "Balto." These are the ones we couldn't place or have yet to place ... but all of these have become pets really. Some of them are getting old like me.

We've been blessed to have the land and means to rescue two main breeds over the years. Different members of my family rescue different breeds, other breeds; Boxers, Hybrid Wolves, Schnauzers and Shelties.

Rhodesian Ridgeback named Bo

Holy Hell. Where'd you come across a Rhodesian Ridgeback??? I love the various ridgebacks as well as a few of the Pariah Dogs. What's the Rhodesian's personality?
