As far as the Old brands go, Old Overholt Rye isn't bad for the price point($11-13 a fifth).

In college it was Jim Beam for liquor. The Wal-Mart had 18-packs of Genuine Draft for $6.98, so that was my beer staple.
Now I usually only drink beer (Miller Lite) on the beach when I'm on vacation or grilling out back. Liquors are Captain Morgan 100-proof, Jim Beam Black, or Tito's.
