I just tell people to donate to St. Jude instead of giving me a present. Seems to work out.

Good choice. I buy what I want and need, I'd rather people spend money on kids. I haven't received a present in years.

Do you really? My brother spent 5 years at St. Jude so I appreciate that.

Yeah. I don't really have anything I need. I can just buy myself a Christmas gift. My mom still gives me socks and underwear every year though.

On another note...ever since I moved in with my girlfriend I keep losing socks at an alarming rate. I can't keep track of a pair of socks to save my life.

We normally donate gifts to the Ronald McDonald house at St. Jude.

One of the best things you can do is volunteer there or Target house.

I lived in the target house on weekends for 2 years. That's a wonderful place.

Yeah, it will really put things in perspective for you very quickly. The people that work there full time are saints.

Possibly. It's the trade off for me not doing the laundry.

Peace on Earth and always something eccentric.

Got a serape poncho last year, hoping to get some wooden clogs from Dutch this year.
