After I smoke my maple sugar dry-cured bacon, I am going to stoke up the fire and grill some bone-in pork rib chops that I have brining in an apple-chipotle brine overnight. Going to make some green chili braised greens, roasted garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus.

Not sure what we'll be eating, but I can guarantee tomorrow will be filled with moments like this one.

My Father's Day will be
Grilling Juicy Lucy's and having baked beans, deviled eggs, and cheesecake.
Hanging with my 2 yr old watching us open and maybe mama has said she is going to her parents letting me and young one be alone all afternoon. That to me is greatest, spending time with him. Especially since I'm doing by choice what my dad never did for me.

I have never saw the combo of mashed potatoes and BBQ but I'm a coonass so what do I know.
Menu consists of BBQ, rice dressing or dirty rice if you are a redneck, potato salad, Bushs baked beans and chocolate banana cake.
