It doesn't end without muslims deciding enough is enough, or complete eradication. Since the killing of hundreds of millions isn't going to happen, the non-radicals will have to stand up to the bullies and thugs.

This is what Sectarian violence is in Iraq.

I was actually diggin' guschamp84's idea about dropping some eboli in on them and letting nature take its course.

That would at least slow them down and give them an ouchy boo boo.

We are in a longstanding war with radical Islam. I agree with those who say it should be settled in the ME. We must keep it there. It's our duty to help moderate Muslims defeat the violent, radical Islamic fundamentalists.

These people aren't necessarily drawn to the religion, they are drawn to the violence.

In hindsight removing Saddam was a mistake. Say what you want about him but nobody on earth was better at exterminating Islamic extremists who threatened his power.

Dude was the Muslim killing champ for like 20 years running.

Terrorism and shite, obvs. Our politicians just want to help out over there because we are such benevolent people. We, as Americans, should be able to go into any country and frick shite up. And if they fight back? Well that just confirms they are terrorists.

Muslims were killing in the name of God long before America even existed let alone tried to do something about it.

Yes, our actions have effected the region. The fact of the matter however is that Islam is an inherently violent religion founded by a de facto war lord who spread his ideas by way of the sword. Nothing we do or don't do will change the fact that, due to its very nature, Islam is prone to create violent followers who believe the ends justify the means. It is an ideology so ingrained into that culture that, ultimately, it's going to come down to whether or not the West can get over itself and start putting the preservation of our way of life over progressive tolerance. They outbreed us at a rate of 8 to 1, we have no chance with any sort of natural solution.

We will either decide that enough is enough, or they will breed us out and become the dominant force on this planet in the next 150 years or so. What is happening in Europe will eventually happen here as well. Islam (not "radical Islam", just Islam) is the greatest current threat to civilized western society. THAT is why people care.

There is no "leaving ISIS alone". Once they have Iraq fully in their control they will be pressing out. They're trying establish a world wide caliphate.

We and the surrounding nations need to get in there and crush them.

Man...can't believe I miss the days of Hussein. "The devil you know" and all that.

Yeah, I really couldn't care less about helping Islam. That part of the world can burn for all I care. The problem is that this isn't happening in a vacuum and Islam threatens the world my kids and grand kids will live in.

If it was just a regional thing, I'd say just leave them to their backwards ways. That culture has decided their ways are better than ours, so they deserve whatever they get. Centuries of tolerating that culture is why I have no sympathy for "moderate" middle eastern Muslims. They were ok with the oppression of women, the demonization of the west and the backwards illigical beliefs they turned into law. They are reaping the rewards of the culture they chose.

Should have never removed Saddam Hussein from power.

You do realize he was killing innocent people within his borders, testing weapons on villages all the time, right? You never heard about it very much because he controlled the media.

The bullies and thugs have to lose the money and power before the no radicals can stand up. Standing up doesn't really do much if you get immediately murdered.

Pretty surprised we haven't directly targeted them financially. It seems like we could get the people in place to make those assets disappear cheaper than we could actually go to war.

I now have the South Park episode playing through my mind. We're just going to invest here, try to diversify your portfolio, aaaand it's gone.
