Same here. It's what mom wanted and we did for her. I have this to remind me of her memorial service, took it about 20 minutes before it started:

Holes in the Floor of Heaven

Was played at my grandmother's funeral. I was too young to have really known her well and understand the loss, but this song got to me then and still does.

That's beautiful.

If it was up to me, a simple burial of my ashes at a graveyard or nothing at all. Don't like the idea of people being sad at my expense. Hate thinking of what would go through my family and friends' heads after I've passed.

Agreed. I really liked that song for a funeral before I had a family. Now that I have a family, that is kind of a game changer. Ultimately, funerals are for the living to say goodbye and/or remember the dead.

I would hope that however people say goodbye to me, it won't involve them shaking twice, and pulling up a zipper

Maybe inappropriate for a funeral but I don't want a traditional funeral. I just want to be cremated, have a wake and then a few of my favorite songs.

My first career was as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. I was in my early 20s.

One of my childhood friends died in a car accident. His funeral was at a church in the middle of no where. We rolled his casket in and there was an old lady on an old organ playing a pretty awesome rendition of Ozzy Osbournes Mama I'm coming home.

Best funeral song I have heard.
