I will be making a coupl trips out to Tulsa in the next couple of months for business. I imagine Tulsa as pretty shitty, but I could be wrong. Anything worth seeing or doing after dinner?

When I was stationed at Altus AFB, OK, and my wife was at Whiteman AFB, MO, I used to stop in Tulsa since it's the halfway point between the two bases.

Absolutely fricking nothing to do besides drink/sleep

Their riverfront is ok.

Cain's Ballroom usually has decent shows.

Utica Square, Brookside are two areas to eat/drink.

It has a good grid. The northside is the shitty side.

That's about all I've got.

I used to travel to Tulsa all the time (about a decade ago) for work. I always liked it. Large Armenian population with some excellent steak houses (I was amazed at how many places had excellent tabbouleh).

It is pretty quaint...but I always liked to eat at least one meal at The Spudder.

It's been awhile...but McGill's was always a good place to eat as well.

The place to go for nightlife used to be Brookside. Again...that was over a decade ago, but I would assume that it still the case.

There's a Hard Rock Casino if you like to gamble. Also, the Oklahoma Aquarium is spectacular.

These two words next to each other will always be funny to me, sounds like an urban dictionary word

I appreciate all the info, y'all. The employee I am taking with me is one of the best we have but he's a teetotaler, so if I go out drinking it'll probably be alone.

There's a Hard Rock Casino/hotel on the east side.

There's a Jimmy Buffet themed casino/hotel on the Arkansas River.

Hard Rock can be a good time if you like to gamble and drink. Some good food in the place too.

Ted's is a legit mexican joint. There are a couple scattered around town. I also like Charlestons over by Bass Pro in Broken Arrow.

I would be careful if you head to North Tulsa, as that is the worst part and where a lot of the crime takes place. Depending on when you are going, you can check out the BOK Center and see if there are any shows lined up there. They do have a hockey team I think is still playing right now.

Also a pointer...not sure where you are from but you will more than likely encounter toll roads...remember that and keep some money on you. They man their toll booths unlike Dallas, so you pay at passing instead of bill being mailed to you.

Wow. The Tulsa hate is strong. It's a fine midsize city. If you can see a show at Cain's ballroom , do so. Historic venue that bands love to play. Prairie Artisan Ales has a taproom really nearby and that entire area is a pretty good walkable entertainment district. The Aquarium is strong. The Philbrook Art Museum is good as well.
