I was in Houston for Hurricane Ike. Scary as frick. I was also there for Tropical Storm Allison which was a different kind of scary. Ike was the standard high winds and crazy skies, but Allison was just downpour for several days straight and you just watched the water keep rising.

April 2011 tornados went 300 yards behind me. Tried to drive around to see the damage afterwards and ended up just parking my car and walking.


15th and macfarland looked like a warzone. Truly terrifying

Is that Stuttgart? That second pic looks like the Grand Prairie Auditorium. I was in that tornado. My house was a block from the auditorium.

There was a bad ice storm here in 92 I think, went without power for about a week too.Also went without power for a week after April 27th.Those would be my two worst.
