Sounds like a hate crime to me...being told it's not safe for white people, racial slurs being yelled, following the two white men to another restaurant, etc.
Flip the situation and you've got people showing up in droves to protest and loot...

He's one of the more prominent white guilt fellows out there -- not stupidity, just doesn't like to see things from both perspectives or at least admit that one end doesn't exist at all or is so monumentally disproportional that it can't be considered like.

Documentaries galore, calls for the police chief to step down, declare a racial problem in that region, beg for donations. Their tactics are getting a bit cliche.

Interesting. They (HH) must have upgraded since the one time I went many years ago. It was such a shite hole I swore to never step foot in one again.

I'm not gonna try to act outraged by this, but this is just an example of why people should absolutely know where the frick they should avoid based on prior knowledge and experiences. Am I advocating profiling? Absolutely. You shouldn't be in West Point period, but especially not at night. Same goes for most of Memphis, just leave them the frick alone and let them wallow in their filth and misery.
And of course I'm not talking about all black people, I'm talking about these shite hole areas where you can't reason with the people.

Edtied to add: I know West Point and that Waffle House well. Have eaten there many times, if it is the one I am thinking about, when duck hunting not far from there on Corp of Engineer land. We own some property not far from there as a matter of fact, just off of 25 on Tibbee Road.

It's really hard to tell from that article just what sparked everything. All I can really glean from it is white guy was politely warned about anger/safety because of Ferguson, white guy decided he wanted to go in anyway, something happened inside between white guy and black crowd, white guys left and at least a few people from the crowd followed them to the next stop.
It's confusing as hell. Is it just spillover violence? Did dude go in there and the crowd simply abuse him for no reason? Did dude go in there acting an arse and get into a fight the same way would happen even if no Ferguson were going on (people can be jerks to one another)? Why did they follow him?
Just a lot of unanswered questions here. No one deserves their assbeat tho - doesn't matter if your worst crime is being a dick. Unless he threw a punch/shove or otherwise threatened the crowd he def. didn't deserve what he got.
