I think if Ferguson was an open carry town, some type of order or ordinance would have been passed temporarily suspending the allowance. I think the left would immediately cry that the ordinance would be because most of the open carry residents were black, and the the traditional gun-rights zealots on the right would be curiously silent on the issue. Neither side seeing the hypocrisy in their position.

Missouri is an open carry state, so it is legal

Seeing as it's legal, your assumption kinda gets shot out of the water, pardon the pun.

This whole thing has me confused about gun control advocates. The same people who say we would be better off with all of our guns in either the hands of soldiers or cops, but they are the same people bitching about the cops and how militarized their forces have become.

The hypocrisy of the left during this whole debacle has been hilarious to watch.

A) Those aren't even remotely inconsistent opinions
B) Libertarians are the ones driving the narrative on the militarization of police

After watching the live feed of the "protest" last night, I've come to the conclusion it's a media generated event at this point. There were nearly as many cameras as there were so-called protestors. And there wasn't really any organization to them, nor were they doing anything but standing and cussing at times.

I've been saying this for the past couple days. This is only still going on because of the media. Everyone wants their fifteen minutes of fame. Tonight you have 50 protestors and 200 media members. That's a little ridiculous.

Amen

And I could gaf if the laws say I cannot carry in a socially unstable area. Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

When I travel in the big cities, I don't care where it is, if I am driving through I'm packing - heavy.

The government cannot protect you.

Reginald Denny changed everything ...

Somebody should have taken Damien Football Williams outta the picture before he could do so much damage to Denny and others.

Williams basically got-off scott free even though they had him on camera trying to kill Denny.
