^^^^This is a phenomena I do not understand. I actually have a Yeti cooler(gift), but I don't feel connected enough to it to block a portion of my rear window. I do not have "salt life" stuff, but I have some tee shirts of various slogans.

Why do some feel so compelled to advertise those brands? Is it like being a Cavaliers/Broncos/Bama fan? Trying to glom on to success of any sort.

My dad (64) is heavy into Salt Life, and has bought me 3 shirts. I honestly don't understand either. Not only the clothes and sticker, he has the Salt Life front license plate. I just don't get it.

heavy into Salt Life,

I just wish I had branded the slogan.

I guess it is just something to identify with for people.

We all need to feel like we belong to something. I have no bumper stickers or decals.

As a kid I remember wanting Nike shoes and Izod shirts. Seems silly now.

Yeti is a luxury brand for men, like a woman who likes expensive purses or people who drive a BMW. The Yeti sticker on your car says "I can afford to pay more for a ice cooler than you," just like the Apple sticker says "I can afford an iPhone instead of your cheap Android phone."

Salt Life is something different, it has no luxury connotation. In fact it almost has the opposite brand image. Salt Life therefore is a fantasy brand, as it mentally connects people to this fantasy of being a beach bum with minimal responsibilities. In this way putting a Salt Life sticker on your car is more akin to buying some sort of stupid zombie apocalypse t-shirt than a Yeti sticker. It is about wish fulfillment, wishing you could have a life of a bum but still be respected (because you are an authentic beach bum who lives the Salt Life).

FIFY. and almost 100 percent of the time when you see the Apple sticker, there's a rainbow sticker and an obama sticker.

Vodka is the only liquor I won't pay a premium price for. I won't but taaka, but I'm not overpaying for a tasteless, odorless spirit

so nice you posted it thrice.

i am not a straight vodka guy, but my wife likes a lot of the deep eddy stuff so i keep some of that around. their lemon vodka mixes with a bunch of stuff that turns into an lpd.

i will say that i am a pretty regular kentucky mule kinda guy and Stoli's ginger beer is the worst i've ever had.
