Any place that makes good gentlemen's cocktails has a few that are incredible. I don't know if i can even remember everything in the ones that were my favorites that i have just picked out. All of my faves are chilled, not on the rocks, and in a whiskey glass.
Screw anything sig cocktail in a big glass.
Ol' fashioned's are my go-to regular but not the best ever.
Its amazing the feeling you get from them as opposed to filling your belly with shite all night.
Eta: looks like you are getting a lot of shitty advice in here.

Manhattan (rye, sweet vermouth, orange bitters), Negroni (gin, sweet vermouth, Campari), Martini (gin, dry vermouth, angostura bitters) Sazerac (rye, simple syrup, peychaud bitters, absinthe rinse), Old Fashioned (bourbon, simple syrup, angostura bitters), G&T, and several of the variations on a Brooklyn (Red Hook, Park Slope, Bensonhurst, etc.) are in my regular rotation...

Just a tad.
It was a bitch to find until recently.

I generally have either Lillet or Cocchi Americano about and find they are pretty much interchangeable, to my palate anyway...

Makers Manhattan
"In a shaker with ice, combine Maker's Mark bourbon, French sweet vermouth, and cherry bitters,(frick /leave out)the maraschino cherry juice. Stir, then serve in a cocktail glass with(out) a maraschino cherry."
Cheers!

French sweet vermouth
Not sure if serious. French typically refers to dry vermouth and Italian to sweet. There are certainly French-produced sweet vermouths, but I've no idea why you would specify one unless you had a particular one in mind...

Give me bourbon in any glass and I'm happy. I've had many Makers Manhattans but never knew the true recipe. I took the recipe and made some corrections (that's why it's in quotes). I'm an alcoholic not a bartender.

I'm more of a beer and straight bourdon/whiskey drinker, but I do like a good long island iced tea.

Martini served dry with one olive.
I use Bombay Sapphire gin and usually a Katamala olive.

I like a Dark and Stormy too, I've never made one myself though I've only had it at a bar or when someone has made one for me tailgating. I might pick up some Gosling ginger beer after work this evening to enjoy with my Sailor Jerry rum.
