What? My boyfriend and I have been together for five years. We've lived together for a large chunk of that. We don't need some made up holiday as a reason to be nice to each other.

Flowers and dinner reservations.

Yeah, Valentine's is a made up excuse to scam consumers.... and it's no better than any other day to be romantic...

But it's not worth it trying to be right all the time. Take advantage of opportunities that give me bonus points with the lady. I've found it's a better approach for me.

Same for me. But you don't always have to make it about capitalism. Most every culture has days set aside for something like this.

On the other hand...I hate all of you rich frickers going to Las Vegas or spas and shite. Take me with you? You won't even know I'm there...maybe. haha

Going to Nashville. Nice hotel, nice dinner, Preds game, and a distillery tour.

TBird, you in the USAF? What's your AFSC? I served, but separated a year and a half ago.

I don't buy expensive strawberries and chocolates like that anymore...cause I usually ended up eating most of them myself. haha. But it's the thought that counts, right?

We'll likely be celebrating Valentine's Day on Friday night with opening night of LSU baseball season (our first date was an opening weekend LSU baseball game) and then kissing at the Memorial Tower at midnight.

Saturday is going to be parades. I may surprise her with some kind of dinner, but I haven't decided what.

We generally don't do much for Valentine's Day since my birthday and our anniversary are the following month. Usually just small, cheesy gag gifts and a low key date night.

Well, here its supposed to be 0-5 degrees, with 40 m.p.h. winds, snowing, and wind chills well below -10.

So we'll be doing what we always do, which is nothing. We ignore Valentine's Day.

Thanks for your service, sir!

My AFSC is 2SO51 (I'm a supply liason for a shop out here). Wifey is a 14N.

Got my gifts from HJJ today and he did good. His is actually set to arrive on V-Day. Unfortunately he won't be able to make it up between work and weather.

Only reason I'm up right now is cuz the delivery guy rang the doorbell just now dropping off some of the stuff I got for Aggiebelle. Would have set it to deliver on Saturday but we'll be out of town most of the day.
