We need to respond with a Confederate flag rally.

Honestly, America is teetering incredibly close to a real race war.

It's sad.

It's not like the racism previously existing is going to disappear. These people are fighting racism with more racism, making things worse, not better.

I agree. Absolutely ridiculous that this is still a problem 150 years after the civil war has ended.

I can tell you that the silent but overwhelming majority on campus today are PISSED. Do not let the news fool you that these events are supported by Mizzou's students. I have never seen campus so sullen and frustrated. The majority of the student body does NOT support this, and believe me that the silent majority is beyond angry.

LOL. Wrong. This is going to spark other similar incidents nationwide at other universities.

Maybe, but those will be forgotten soon as well. Just like the next incident, and the next incident and the next one.

Same as it ever was....

It's always been this way. A qualified black student not getting into a school over a less-qualified white student is racist. In reverse it is called progress. The last thing any liberal wants for their micro-group is true equality.

Some pretty smart guys (mostly democrats fwiw) voted against the civil rights act of 1965 on the basis that it would, over time, create unequal rights for certain segments of our society. Of course they are now branded as racist. Could their prediction have been more correct?

They can't be forgotten without someone paying a price though. Someone must resign. More "people of color" must be hired. Etc.

Pimps First Postulate: Every American Institution drifts Leftward over time.

Every single Institution, principle, ideal, symbol and tradition drifts Leftward into a humorless political correctness parody. It's comedy at this point. And then history teaches us, the real fun begins, and the body count begins. And then it becomes tragedy.

If you pander to a thing you will get much more of it.
So look for more illiberal Liberal Race-Baiting at a college near you.
FORWARD, motherfrickers !

This is the most simple explanation ever, yet no one will really take it to heart.

People on both sides have negative experiences that make them the way they are, policy an such will not dictate or change that.

Expel the ones you catch if need be, there is no changing in peoples attitudes and minds though, and through these actions they've only made things that much worse. That's all they wanted though to be honest, to have real gripes to cry over.

Then fricking do something. Stop being silent.

Which is why Mizzou had to stand firm. They didn't, and everyone will be worse off for it.

I'm disgusted that identity politics has reached a point where one could be lauded for turning his back on the people who really care about him, to prop up a nameless/ faceless group with ambiguous complaints and ambiguous demands.
