Bet their attendance would be a lot better if UA had not sabatoged them for the past decade.

i just did a quick average check for a random year over a decade ago. i chose 1998 because that was the only time i was subjected to watching a uab game in person... they averaged 21,000 for home games that season. i did not include the laughable 3,571 when they played in hoover

Bet if bama had no facilities, no support, and were forced to hire shitty coaches, bama would not have a very good team. Then make them play at legion field the past 15 years and see how that affects attendance.

Watson Brown was a pretty good coach while he was there, and attendance was still pretty bad. Attendance was good this year with Clark there, which is why I think it sucks they shite it down. I've never been in favor of them shutting it down. I just think there'a another side to the argument other than a vindictive BOT.

I fully supported them getting an on-campus stadium, and think it would have helped attendance. I don't think the BOT fully sabotaged that plan though. They only had suite and season ticket commitments for 2-3 years from what I read, and they still needed a pretty hefty financial commitment from the UA system, on top of bonds. I think UAB and their boosters failed miserably by not partnering with the city of Birmingham in trying to get a stadium of some sort in the downtown or campus area.

This situation is ridiculous, should've never gotten to this point

And they probably should've never gone D1 in the first place
