This thread is kind of sad if everyone knows the names of porn stars, and really sad if they're older porn stars. I blame the internet which triggered the addiction to pornography for so many people.

Betamax triggered the boom in the porn industry as we know it today.
The Kama Sutra did the same thing 2500 years ago.
Porn is as old as the written word and the drawings in the caves.
Now, addiction to porn is another thing. Not a good thing either - you're absolutely correct about that.
On the other hand, and this is a serious argument for some ... Porn, it has been said, is an outlet for some that might do harm to others otherwise.
It might also be viewed as a teaching tool to some.
The modern public seems to demand a certain amount of sex in everything they do .... the more risque the better for some.
It's a double-edged sword, and like anything else, when abused it becomes a bad thing - no doubt about it.

Porn has made the world safer for women, hell for everybody as well. Stats and studies have shown that increased porn and its proliferation has brought rape and sexual assault rates down. That's encouraging and reason enough that porn should be socially accepted.
Put simply....
Porn up, rape down.

Precisely. Don't know why more people can't grasp this. Not a difficult concept.
Soon as porn is mentioned, though, some fools just straight lose their minds.
