It is not a question of smart as much as appeal to greed (something for nothing) and getting beyond the imagined cost (free) to the actual cost (a weekend of your life spent in Branson)

Trashy or not, my wife and I enjoy Branson. Baby Hogwarts will enjoy the Christmas lights in December. As for the time share route, we both agreed that getting a "free" room is not worth the pressure of enduring a 3 hour long presentation and the shaming until a decision is made.

Did not say Branson was trashy, just more like for old folks like me. High little old lady population meant granny panty dropping is like hunting over a baited field and someplace like Hot Springs would be better suited for the young couple with kid route.
