Police have shot and killed a white tiger that killed one man and injured another Wednesday in Tbilisi, Georgia, a Ministry of Internal Affairs representative said.
The animal had been unaccounted for after severe flooding over the weekend destroyed the city zoo, allowing hundreds of wild animals to escape.
The attack happened at a warehouse in the city center. There are no details yet on the condition of the second man.
At least 19 people died in the flooding, according to Civil Georgia, a news website run by the nongovernmental organization United Nations Association of Georgia. Six more remained missing, it said Tuesday, citing the State Security and Crisis Management Council.

The zoo lost about half of its 600 animals, among them lions, tigers, bears and wolves, in the disaster. Some animals have been recaptured, Civil Georgia reported. Others have been killed.
Weekend video from the city showed what appeared to be a crocodile slithering down the city streets, as well as a hippopotamus standing around in flood waters, looking confused.

May want to work on clarity with your thread titles - I was expecting carnage in Grant Park

My mental picture when opening this thread was an Auburn man that worked as a zookeeper going crazy in Atlanta.

Everything I posted was factual and accurate. I'm sure CNN knows precisely what they were doing.

MARTA after sundown still makes the state of Georgia more dangerous than the country full of loose tigers and lions.
Sidenote: Imagine being that guy that died from the tiger attack. If you asked him that morning how he would die if he were to die that day, I'm sure that would be pretty far down the list.

I wouldn't shite in your pants either. Hippos mark their territory by shitting and flipping it around w/ their tail. It would become aggressive by you trying to claim some territory.

Especially a white tiger.
Figure it'd be behind black felines.
Seriously, though, what goes through your mind when you see a tiger in a place like that?

Terrifying, they are fast for short distances and can charge. Also, they're super aggressive. Better to run into one on land though than in the water.
