Thinking about switching from iPhone to Android: thoughts?

So I'm up for an upgrade, and I've had the iPhone 4S for 2 years now. I like it, but it doesn't hold a charge for shite anymore and randomly crashes when I'm in the middle of stuff. I have a few friends who've told me I should look into switching to Android, but I'm not 100% sure yet.
Has anyone here made the switch, and if so, what are the pros and cons? I'm looking at the Galaxy Note 3, if that helps

If you've used iPhone exclusively a droid can be a pain in the arse to learn for the firs few weeks....
After that I have nothing negative to say about them

I tried an android for a couple months after my iPhone 4. I hated it and traded it in for the 5 I have now

I was a Palm/WebOS user before the iPhone. (One of probably 6 in the world)

Switched from my 4s to a Galaxy s4.
Would do again.

How hard was the adjustment?

GF switched and loved it, I'm switching when my contract is up

Verizon's doing a deal where any smartphone priced 199 and up, you get 100 bucks off. So the Note would be 200. But it comes with 32 gb, and the ability to add an extra 64 by microSD

I couldn't do a Note just because it is too big, I plan on switching to a galaxy though

Well, seeing that I'm tall and have large hands, I don't think it'd be that bad.

Just too much like an iPad mini or a kindle (the Note) imo....
I need something I can slide in my back pocket or strap to my arm for a run

I love my iPhone 5. I've had it for nearly 2 years after previously owning 2 Androids. I couldn't imagine ever switching back to an Android but that's just me.

I am tall, large hands, galaxy note is great.
I have never understood the appeal of the Iphone. There is not a single advantage, and many limitations, IMO.

I like the iPhone, it syncs with a lot of my other devices, it is easy to use, and it does everything I could want.... however, I am switching to a galaxy when my contract is up in August

I guess the other question is do I upgrade directly at Verizon, or go to Best Buy?

I just call AT&T and upgrade... I hate going in the store because those people are idiots and if I call they cater to me since I've been with them since they bought out SunCom

They know me at the Verizon Store as the guy who always pays with cash, so I wouldn't have a problem going there.

My s3 was a piece of shite so I switched to an iPhone 5. I really love it and never have any problems with it. That bein said, I'll probably test the market just to see what's really out there just because having the same phone for so long gets really boring. My sister has an s4 and it's pretty cool.
My contract is up right around the time the iPhone 6 is suppose to come out so that will be a factor too.

Had an s3 and switched to an iPhone 5 when it was time to upgrade. I doubt I will be going back anytime soon. The droid was such a pain in the arse compared to the iPhone. The browser and apps constantly froze and crashed the phone. Nothing more annoying than having it crash while I was doing something for a customer.
Not to mention the lack of quality apps. I know that is changing fast but it was still a pain in the arse.
