The political board-like the Tiger Rant and O-T Lounge- is heavily dominated by LSU fans, so of course group think is bound to prevail.
This is why I like this board better. You have people from different parts of the country commenting, so you are bound to have differences in opinion.

EDIT: Wild-arse hypothesis: posting on tRant tends to correlate with less tribalism in general because despite all the pro-team trolling, you're still posting here instead of your circlejerk homer board (Texags/Tidefans/Hogville what have you). This isn't the case on Tigerdroppings which is the homer LSU board so everyone is tribal as frick.

FWIW, I'm a right wing bigot and the Poli board is too much circle jerk for me. I mean I agree with all of them on most points, but I just peruse. Not a regular.
That being said I prefer our liberals on this board to Draconian Sanctions and tuba. Frick those asshats.

OP, if you read both the O-T & political boards long enough, you'll find that a lot of the venom originates from the very far leftists that deliberately start shite. It's hard to have a moderate discussion when the anti Semitics and the extreme liberals post what they post. It's only natural for "conservatives" to respond in kind. The anti Jewish threads are particularly full of hate.
