Nope. Makes perfect sense.

Why, you ask? Because I have blind faith in the book they wrote.

Somebody had to pen it. Are you jealous? Or just upset that God loves you so much he chose to reveal his law to you, so you have no excuses when standing face to face before him?

So you don't think it's suspicious that it's the people telling you the story. gotcha. Noted.

As for the rest of your post. That's just pure fear mongering. That's the only thing you can use to still get your message out. Fear. Try to fear people into it. But your time is running out. People are smarter today than the middle easterners who wrote that they're conviently the favorite people of God 2,500 year's ago. People won't put up with this much longer. The Muslims are showing the world today how backwards our Old Testament is because everything they're doing our Old Testament commands us to do.

Without the Old Testament there is no messiah or Jesus, and the Old Testament is, excuse my language, colorful.

This isn't about telling y'all that we should still be following what the Old Testament says, it's about the Old Testament never being trustworthy in the first place, so it's sequel holds no water either. (No matter how much better written it is than the first.)

People are smarter today

People have been saying that for millennia (see Noah), yet the word of God still stands. Each generation thinks they're the smartest that's ever been. So smart that they don't need God. Yet the word of God still stands. People have been trying to persecute, kill, and wipe Christian people out forever. Yet the word of God still stands. It will still stand when you and your too smart for God brain is rotting in the ground, and it will still be standing when the last human draws their last breath, when the last star burns out, when the last second clicks off the clock of time as we know it. Truth will NEVER stop being truth. Even if it were possible for every person that ever lived or will live rejects it entirely, it will still be God's word, still be truth, and will still be the standard for which God holds us. Neither you nor I nor anyone else can change that. Accept or deny, stacked, and reap the consequences of the decision whichever it is because you can't change it, because God is God. The alpha and omega. Your either with him, or will be condemned by him for your denial.

Well we don't believe the world's flat, we have the theory of gravity, the theory of quantum mechanics. We learned to fly. We took to space, we learn more about space everyday. We ARE getting smarter.

But then you said to look at Noah, and then I realized that as long as there's still people among us who believe in blatent fairy tales and barbaric commandments, than you're right. We really are no smarter than those middle easterners who wrote the bible. And they were the ones who wrote the bible.

If the "fairy tales" were so blatant, then they would have died out a long time ago.

You're right, I was reading the 10 commandments the other day and thinking "How barbaric!!!"

Cmon man! Weak sauce, dude.

Did I say the 10 commandments? I don't think I did.

And I'm sorry 2000 years sounds like a bunch to you, to me that sounds like seconds. Your religion has been around for seconds. Thousands of religions have come and gone before Judiesm. Every one of them trying to make sense of a clearly organized and designed world.

The reason Christians haven't died out already is because they bought some of the story rights of Judiesm to come off more established than they really were.

My God has been around forever... literally. And he's been the same God as he always has been. His principles and law has always been and will always be. The religion is based on what has always been, not vice versa. Again, this is all stuff that a "Christian" that's been to seminary should easily understand... yet you don't.... that's pathetic, dude. Didn't you learn anything in seminary and all those years of being a learned "Christian"?

why are the teachings of Paul given such incredible reverence

Love him or hate him, Paul was always good for a quote. He was doing soundbites 2000 years before the word was created. Plus he gets kudos for being the Ray Kroc of Christianity, opening churches like they were burger stands.

Me personally, I think the dude was kind of a blowhard. For example, what he knew about chicks and marriage you could shove up a gnat's arse with room to spare. But he jabbered on like he wrote the Kinsey Report or something. When you read Paul, you need to keep in mind that for all his charisma and strength of will, he was almost certainly clinically insane.

What do you interpret as his thorn in the flesh? Me personally, I think the OP may have caught on to something.

How can we be expected to be held to something he said but never had written down? I feel like you're gonna need some spackle for this.

Jesus did say something about homosexuality..Matthew 19:4 in which he says male and female. This excludes a man and a man...a man and two women...a woman and two men...two men and a donkey...etc...

The new testament says that women are put here to serve man, and that the head of every woman is her husband. Plus it specifically says that women can not speak in church and if she wants to learn something, then her husband must teach her at home. Plus it says that women should cover their heads when worshiping.

The bible also teaches us to stone our children for disobeying us in the town square, how to properly mark and beat your slaves. Plus much more sick shite.

But hey being a christian is about picking and choosing what to believe, so I'm sure most of you guys want to ignore these bible verses. I don't think the women would like to know about some of these things. But again it must be nice to pick and choose what to believe while ignore the other parts. Also isn't the bible god's word, I mean it says so in the bible, so that makes it fact, right?

People who say they believe every word of the bible are people who haven't read every word of the bible. shite, maybe any part of the bible. There's no justification for half the shite in it, the gore, stoning, massacres of God. Just bring your bucket of spackle, they'll teach you where to apply it.
