That's a thing at Sonic? I've never even considered it and I've never seen any of my friends do it. Of course I'm a College kid in a College town so they may be used to it.

I worked there in High School and this wasn't the case. I do know that ever since they made it where you can swipe your card at the parking space, tips went out the window. I remember the car hops making some bank back in the day each night (1999ish, when they had the change thing on their belts.)

I'm assuming of course, I'm not sure what they make in tips.

I'm going off a story a girl told me in high school, and both of my cousins that worked there.

I'm doubting that. If that was true, you wouldn't see anybody working at Sonic in my hometown or in Auburn because I've never seen anyone tip.

Most people I know swipe their card before the carhop even comes out.

Are we really seriously complaining in this thread that 6 dollars for an entire meal is too expensive??

I always tip when I go there, but I also wonder what's the proper amount for a tip. I usually give a dollar.

I thought the same thing. It's a whole (fast food) meal. I can't honestly name the last time I paid less than $6 for a value meal at a fast food restaurant.

Same here. Only time I don't tip there is if I use the drive-through window...

Angry Whopper's where it's at. True story

that's the last thing i've liked at BK in years.

i used to love BK growing up but at my last job there was a sonic, whataburger, BK, and McD all withint .5 a mile of my work. Sonic or Whataburger won each and every time.

if u were paying attention u would have noticed the complaint is the price compared to other meals in the same market.
