The 1987 Comfort Texas church bus flood disaster

For some reason this is one of the first news stories that I remember being horrified by as a child. I recall the coverage on TV, while in western Arkansas we had very heavy rains and flooding too. It was weather related and we were having the rain from the same storms that killed these people.

TLDR, a church bus with 40 people got swept away in floodwaters and 10 kids drowned. Dramatic televised rescues of several survivors.
