Long story short,

Turning 30 this year and the Mrs. wants me to get a tat for my birthday. Never had one and never really wanted one. Who here has them and what is the pain I am looking at if I get one(let's say chestal region)? I will be stone cold sober btw.

Depends on your usual pain tolerance.

Chest will hurt.

Not accurate for everyone, obviously. Basically, the less fat, the more it will hurt.

If you do it, try not to tense up. Will only make it worse.

So for YOUR birthday your wife wants you to get a tattoo as a gift when you don't really want it to begin with? That's kind of fricked up.

It's kind of something you should walk in wanting since it'll be on your body for the long term even with tattoo removal.

Agreed. I still have my young and dumb tattoo and I hate it.

Every tattoo since my first has been something meaningful to me and something I knew I wanted.

At least he was smart enough to bring it to this board and not the real O-T. He'd be getting crucified over there.

I will never get a tattoo or piercing. I would be the one person that got an infection and died from it.

Apparently it's believed that women have a higher pain threshold than men.

Yeah she has one and has been trying to get me to get one. I'm not sold on something being on my body the rest of my life.
