Not a whole lot. I need to run to the grocery store and do some laundry, but there's no big Super Bowl party at my house this year.

What about you?

ETA: Morning AFL.

She is doing well now

Female stuff had issues with pain, went to her female doc and they scheduled her for an immediate one right after Christmas (Dec 30th) to remove scar tissue from cysts and it was so bad in there she had to have a hysterectomy asap so they scheduled her as soon as they could get her in after that (last Tuesday) had an oncologist on call (cervical cancer is in her family, a great Aunt died from it)

I haven't mentioned because its obviously a bit emotional but the doc that did her 1st surgery said he was surprised with how bad her cervix was damaged from cysts that she even had 1 child much less 2

Anyway no more kids for us

She is doing really well though, the winter storm kept her up at the hospital a day longer though she was pissed and I was too that I stayed home to keep the kids and then she got stuck up there but oh well

I was an emotional wreck this week

How scary. I'm glad everything went well with the surgery. And how awesome it is that you managed to have two kids despite the odds!

The biggest health scare we've had was when my husband landed in the ER with high blood pressure. They were surprised a vessel had not burst it was so high.

I've never ever had HBP issues and Im a large guy it's kinda weird but I also have to keep a close eye on BP and sugar levels and all that because of how much Diabetes there is on my side of the family. I'm pretty sure I got my Mom's patience and shite though because rarely am I ever rattled like her and Dad and my Pappaw are both notorious for HBP and tempers (nothing bad just up there high strung I guess lol). Before I was born and well into me being about 4-5 or so Mom and Dad went to every home and away Alabama game, even when Bear played Penn St in NY and just every game, now during big time high pressure games (Top 25) Dad can't watch it because he's scared he will have a Heart Attack so during the LSU game and the IB he went to see movies, been doing that ever since I was about 10

I hate hosting Super Bowl parties... Too much cleanup afterwards... I think we're gonna go watch the first half at Mortimer's with some friends... We'll all have our kids with us so we'll definitely head home before the kids can start throwing fits.

ETA: wow.... scary stuff Bucc... Hope her recovery goes well... I'll definitely keep yall in my thoughts.

That's funny he wont watch any high pressure games. My husband was in denial until that incident. Obviously he's on medication now, and it's normal.

Reggie, there is still only the Mortimers in the Berclair area right? It's been forever since I've been there.

I think I could count on one hand how many times we went to a restaurant with the kids before each turned 3.
It's always fun when they hit that invisible wall.

That's right... The owners' son is my age and we went to OM at the same time... He runs it now... I'd never really eaten there til a few weeks ago... It has replaced Patrick's as my favorite plate lunch in Memphis.

As far as the invisible wall is concerned we picked a place strategically located within 10 minutes of each of our houses so if the kids can't make it til halftime we can make it back home in no time... We both have 15 month olds so we never know what to expect.

It was a favorite when I was in college, and a girl in my sorority was a server there, so we went often.

That's a good plan you have in case things go wrong.

I've been craving Old Venice's Crawfish Rolls like it's nobody's business the past couple days.

Just gonna nosh on some wings tonight with some other odds and ends. Nothing too exciting. Waiting to see if we'll have school tomorrow since the "dusting" that was being reported for tonight into tomorrow has now been adjusted to 3-5 inches.
