WCBI - Boiler Explosion
Aliceville, Ala. (WCBI) - A boiler exploded at Buchanan Hardwoods in Aliceville, Alabama on Thursday evening.
Pickens County EMA Director Ken Gibson says a silo caught fire because of the explosion, that was reported just after 7 PM. He says the blaze is contained within the area where the explosion occurred and has not spread.
The plant is shut down while crews work to extinguish the flames.
No injuries have been reported. Multiple fire departments were dispatched to the scene.
WCBI will continue to follow this story and provide more updates as they become available.

Luckily it wasn't a full melt down or it would've taken a part of the city with it. I don't know all the details other than EMA was called back because its still burning and they're going to have to just let it burn out.

Well, I'm rooting for you. I absolutely hate smoking. Can't stand to be around it.
I'm that way because both my mother and father smoked and I hated every minute of their habit when I was a kid. In an odd twist of fate, I don't smoke because their habit made me hate it so bad. I guess that's the one positive thing I can attribute to their habit.
For the sake of your health and your future children's health, I hope you quit and never smoke again. That's the key...you must totally quit because the occasional smoke will surely derail you.

The occasional smoke is why I'm quiting again. I quit for 2 years last time, and started smoking the occasional cigar. And... Here I am

Good for you. Let me tell you this...if you're a good father, your kids will never hate you. But, (and this is a big but) they may hate being around you if you continue to smoke.
I remember my father lighting up a cigarette in the car and innocently forgetting to "crack the window". I'd start coughing and then say, "Dad, can you please crack the window?" He would apologize and immediately air out the car.
However, he probably didn't realize that I wanted nothing more than to get out of the car and get away from his cigarette smoke.
That's a shame.

It is a shame
I'm glad I never got into that habit, other very crippling ones unfortunately but surprisingly never caught on to smoking cigs

yeah, I never smoked. Never. Not one cigarette. Yet, I drank quite a bit in high school and had even more "fun" in college...
