Almost forgot to comment on Flyleaf. Anyone listen to them since Lacey moved on? I enjoyed their stuff with Lacey, but I haven't listened to them since the change.
It's ok. Still pretty good. They are a bit harder than my tastes call for to be honest so I don't keep up with them.
Interestingly, the bass player came to my church small group for a time.

Thanks. I might check it out sometime.
That must have been interesting. Sometimes I want to sit down and just have a chat with someone from one of the bands I listen to.

I loooove Flyleaf.
Had no clue Lacey left, though. That sucks. I can't imagine the quality being close to what it was.

. It has some serious quality in it. I still wonder if they'll ever pull a short reunion, but Idk honestly. I've seen the 3 (Toby, Michael, and Kevin) over the years, and they're still as talented as ever.
If Toby Mac toured with Audio A and Newsboys it could happen.

It was. It was Sameer the bassist. When he came, he was newly married and they had just finished touring. We had some awesome conversations about bands they were with. Said Korn were the nicest guys they ever met
They didn't last too long in our group. I have school age kids and they slept in till noon every day and did emo crap. Just wasn't a good group for their place in life. Super cool dude though.

1920's was not an option nor was the 1940's so you appear in no position to judge. From you list I might choose the 80's - as in 1780's - and the age of Mozart.

1920's
In college, we had a lip sync skit that had to be a 20's theme. It wasn't easy to find music for it. We ended up having to incorporate some Three 6 Mafia and Micael Jackson to make it work.

I didn't know I needed to list songs from SCRooster's childhood.

Man, you have to go back to the roots man. How can you appreciate rock and roll without a bigger love for the blues that gave birth to it? Plus, the big band sound was just great music to dance to. Kids today with no brass or horns is just sad. Age of swing and jive rocked!

As for Louie Prima, I am pretty sure most on here got to know him from their childhood! Disney Classic before they totally sold out under Eisner.
