Yeah but you have to prove that you purchased with legit funds, good luck with that, they just have to say it was illegal funds.
Eta: they won't seize any vehicle with a lein against it because they have to pay the lein off before they can sell it (here in TX anyway) they caught me with a small amount of speed so they tried to seize it.

Yeah I was a frick up for a very long time. They tried to seize it because I was arrested for having a small amount of dope on me.

There used to be a jacked out Vette in Florida that they kept around Tallahassee that was for high speed chases. When you saw that thing come out you knew shite was going down.
