Playing 1s and 2s is and always has been retarded. It was started by dudes who had trouble adding 3 to a number.

Played my last pickup basketball game at 42. Was playing against high school varsity kids and I was awesome. Gave it everything I had and had a blast.

Ended up with a bad lateral disc herniation and never played again - or even ran for that matter. At some point your body takes complete control of telling you what you can and cannot do.

Sucks.

it does indeed. i'm in my mid 30's and i have an ankle hangup that's killing me.

i made it throughout my 20's and early 30's without a thing hurting me, but i'm having trouble walking today after T25 last night.

never happened to me before in my life and it sucks.

I'll tell you what's retarded: playing "tips."

Well, gonna go get Lemak to look at my knee. It is swollen now.

It may be time to hang it up. I hate it.

But . . . I did start coaching my youngest son (8) this year. Never thought it could be so much fun . . . and I never knew how little other people knew about basic basketball fundamentals.

my dad is like, a really really really really good basketball player. he's not tall.. 5'10. About 165-175. When I tell people my name the first thing they say are "are you danny's son, damn your dad was cold as hell on the basketball court" . You can't have a conversation that goes past 10 mins with him without him talking about how he could have went to the NBA if not for women.. and i honestly. i think he could have made a living playing ball... somewhere at least. It's just sad that at 50 years old,t hat's all he really has now

I have a cousin who played ball at arkansas in the early 2000's (mike jones) who is 6'9. And every year we play one on one ball in the back yard where mike has a full court (mike's family is pretty well off) and every year my dad who is 50, absolutely abuses mike who is a foot taller and a d1 athlete. About 10-11 years ago when my dad was in his early 40's he just flat out dunked over him. At 40. People tell me that at one time he could dunk from the free throw line and shite and i believe them.

Pretty much 21, but a no holds barred, steel cage, hell in a cell, game. No fouls whatsoever, anything short of rape and murder allowed.

Well there ya go, then

My sets of cousins in Bryan and in Michigan both loved that kind of 21. Only way they'd ever play

I will say this: it'll teach you to be fearless in the paint at an early age
