But yes it has been proven that smoking and/or drinking during pregnancy CAN CAUSE low birth weight among other things.

FIFY. That's a more accurate way of saying it.

I would've knocked the cigarette out of that girl's hand and said something like, "You can at least give your child a fair chance. The rest is up to God" and walked away.

Leave it to us to keep shite together. Damn. Went on my "people that don't do their shite" rant earlier tonight. Not going to go down that road again tonight.

I should've punched her in the stomach. That would've been hilarious.

Point taken but there are also people out there that would love to have a child but are unable to so their only option is to adopt. The waiting lists are so long to adopt an American child that other countries have made a business out of adopting kids to American families.

I understand aborting for medical reasons and in the case of a woman getting pregnant by a rapist but pregnancy from consensual sex when there is no threat to the mother's life should not end in abortion. There are too many other options.

So the true agenda comes out? I completely agree with you FWIW, I can't consider any position where i'd ever be ok with abortion personally. I still can step outside of myself though and see other people's point of view.

It wasn't an agenda. It was simply an experiment to show the difference in the way the 2 are viewed by some people. I can think of some friends of mine from HS that are pro choice. One in particular just had a baby a few months ago and is always posting pictures of her on FB. Now if I put this same line of questions up on my Fb she would jump right on the hook. She'd talk about what a pos the woman is for smoking and saying shite like "does she know what that's doing to her baby?".
