Mostly videography and editing. Been getting a lot of gigs through word of mouth and I want to get more legitimate.

It's just a side job at this point but I have a lot of fun doing it and I want to start getting more serious about it.

I dabble in photography. Love anything related to photography, videography, etc.

Someday, down the road, I'll be an international photographer. I have a friend who does it now. For money. I'm envious.

I own the minority stake in a fencing company. The majority owner is looking to retire in 3-4 years, at which point I'll own it outright.

Be prepared to work a lot of hours if you want to be successful. I got in about 6 months ago and it's made me question my sanity, but it's worth it at the end of most days.

Online software sales as a moonlighting job, so I'm not sure I have any advice that would be helpful for what you're doing other than pretty basic stuff:

Get an LLC to protect your personal property from lawsuits. LegalZoom will set you up for (when I did it) $65.

If you work alone and do any sort of online payments, get a 3rd party payment processor to handle it. Far less headaches and you don't have to worry about fraud protection, etc.

Just looking for some advice and discussion from the small business owners of the Rant.

When you enter into an agreement with someone, verbal or written. fulfill your end of the agreement

I am currently the only one in my family that doesnt own their own business, hell even my wife has her own business. I however did start and sell a successful landscape business in middle school/high school. paid for a truck, jet ski and good chunk of college expenditures. I will have my own business in the next few years, I am in the process right now
