So recently I have discovered after nearly 30 years I have been showering wrong the entire time.
I have been told that you are supposed to face the shower head, but I put my back to the shower head.
How do you do this and not get sprayed in the face with water the whole time? Ive tried it, but its hard to breath and not drown.

Aim the shower head down (DUH) or if you're too short, stand on something.

Seeing as how I am taller than where most shower heads are positioned I don't have an issue with this.

I didn't know this was an actual issue. People don't face the shower head when in the shower?

I start out facing the shower head. Then turn around to soap up. Then turn back around to rinse off.

I'm 6'3 but my shower head is way up there (on purpose). When I built my house I asked for it

I don't think it matters. You have to face in all directions to rinse off anyway.

I do both. Mostly face it. When facing I look down or back up and point the shower head down.

When peeing down the drain, face the shower head. When fapping, turn your back to the shower head.
Everything else is just lathering up, and rinsing.
