That weird secondary squall from the south lit my arse up. Wind was insane. Thankfully it cooled off the area before the main squall line gets here. fricking patio chair was in the neighbors yard and he has a fence.

Those warm sector cells and lines have been pretty nasty all day. The energy is focused a little out in front and these front end cells are forming up into the new lead edge of the squall.

The awesome weather is coming. Wind out of the NW here. Down in the 60s and dropping.

ETA: It almost looks like a second line is forming up out way ahead of the front in Alabama. Weird.

Is the main threat still straight line winds and a possibility of spin up tornados? It seems like it would weaken a bit with the weird line that came from the south.

Pretty much. Typical of a strong cold front.
