Go ahead and merge this if there is another thread about this here, but I'm getting eye strain trying to find it.

I congratulate Texas for having the guts to allow alcohol to be sold in a college football stadium.

I remember having to smuggle a bottle of George Dickel in my crotch whenever I went to a Georgia Bulldog game. (BTW, it improved the flavor.)

I hate all these bedwetting bible thumpers who are so anti-alcohol. If alcohol is supposed to be so bad, why does it make me feel so good.

And they should lower the drinking age to 10, like it is in Germany. College students can't drink beer in a football stadium? What kind of namby-pamby, puritanical, police state do we live in?

It is not guts, but gold that motivated the decision. Paying 15 bucks for a Bud Lite is the reinforcement of the PT Barnum (there is a sucker born every min) observation

You do realize booze is flowing in all the SEC venues in the high net worth donor areas now.

It has more to do with insurance liability issues than anything you just listed.

HORRIBLE idea for the SEC. I love my beer and whiskey, but fans are already drunk enough when they come into the stadium and Lord knows we're passionate enough. . .nothing good would come of it.

Personally, I would like the stadiums to have heroin stations where SEC fans can push off with some quality smack while watching their favorite team. It annoys the shite out of me that I have to go to my car to fix up.

Alcohol is a good start, but let's not be shortsighted.

Half the reason everyone is so drunk is they binge drink in anticipation of not having alcohol during the game.

If your sell during games people won't show up as drunk trying to fit a whole game with if drinking into an hour before the game

We already spit on fans in Athens.....I guess they should be able to wash it down with a tall cool Budweiser.

One trip to Papa John's Cardinal Stadium will cure you of your desire to drink at games. 50,000 drunken line beards can't be wrong. It's a mistake to sell alcohol at college games.

Yep, why I gave up my season tickets. People get drunk off of what they bring into the stadium, much less having vendors offering it. Had beer from drunk idiots spilled on me more than once. Watch games from home now, and it's much better.

Man I hate when vendors are hawking crap during the game. Stand in front of you making change right when the big play happens.

Once CU Boulder starts selling joints at their concession stands, I'll be attending a lot more Buffalo games.

Even free mind altering drugs will not make watching the Buffs any better or easier.
