I went to the doctor for a check up at the beginning of November and was put into ICU after they found out my port (port-a-cath that was used to administer chemo in the past) was infected and I was septic. They told me had I waited another week I wouldn't have made it.

I expected I would have at least felt worse considering I was near death and all. Damn. Got home about a week ago. They had to do surgery to remove the port and then a month in the hospital of nonstop IV antibiotics. It was scary, eye opening and sort of an awakening, I guess you'd say. I'm so glad to be back!! I missed the laughs of this place. 
AND...my damn daughter ELOPED!!!!! She actually got married "by proxy" to a dude in the Air Force who is stationed in Germany that she used to date in high school. Gotta tell Cheese our efforts to get his nephew and my daughter together have been nixed by the insane actions of my daughter. My daughter has yet to see her "husband" yet. She's leaving for Germany in 2 weeks. I am beyond pissed, hurt, sad, disappointed...just...wow. Girl is still wearing a purity ring, will have been married nearly a month before the marriage is even consummated. I keep trying to talk her into an annulment but she is dead set on making this work.

That's the only thing keeping me from flying my arse to Germany and just slapping the shite out of him...the fact that he is in the Air Force and serves this country.
I remember him well from when she dated him in high school..he was always very respectful and he treated her like a queen but why in God's name wouldn't either of them just come to either me or her dad and just tell us what was up? It's not like she's knocked up and had to get married. Guess I'll just have to deal.

Some might say, "Oh, he gives out toys for free so he's clearly a liberal", but it's much deeper than that.
Santa gives toys to GOOD children who EARN the RIGHT to receive toys. He doesn't give toys carte blanche like a liberal would. In many traditions, he also has a companion who travels with him named Krampus, who snatches the bad little children and then devours them later. Once again, not a very open-minded thing to do. Lastly, Santa exploits a race of elves to make his toys in the North Pole FOR FREE. This is basically a form of slavery that everyone turns a blind eye towards. In closing Santa is a staunch free-market Republican; going even further, he is likely a Tea Partier and probably an alcohol with his red, bulbous nose.
