My family is considering moving within a year, we have been looking into this area for a few months and it seems very nice. I was just hoping to get some opinions on the area and if you would consider it a good place to live.

Yeah. I grew up there. Its good in many ways. Lots of outdoor activities and exercise types...cycling, running, etc. The swamp rabbit trail is very popular with plans to lengthen it. Many restaurants all over and downtown has something for everyone. Haywood road area is nice too for shopping, also not far from the woodruff road shops. Craft breweries seem to be popping up too in the area, like Thomas Creek, Quest, I-85, Birds Fly South, Iron Hill, which are all good if you're into that
There's an app you should get called 'iOnGreenville' that will give you more ideas and suggestions

We visited earlier this year. Nice place. A lot of growth (and a lot of construction going with it). Not very diverse for a Southern town, if you catch my drift.

I dated a girl from Greenville for a few years and spent a good bit of time up there. It is a cool place. The Main Street and West End areas are fun, and like the previous poster mentioned, the craft beer scene is blowing up. I always enjoyed going up there, and from those I knew, they loved living there.

Former Gamecock coaches have been known to openly piss in the street while intoxicated in Greenville.
