Which is why you don't report on bathroom graffiti. All this will do is scare people for no reason.
I get what you're saying but I think it's better to have people be aware of the situation even if nothing happens. Auburn wasn't the first to know about it. A student tweeted the pic (on 3/26) of the writing which circulated to Auburn officials which led to them ramping up security.
99% of the time it's nothing. But you have to try and prevent that one time it actually is something.

There is no situation though. It's bathroom graffiti.

When you are in class it doesn't do you any good though People will carry on campus but then it creates the problem of it being hard to identify threats
There is a difference between making people aware of threats and reporting for 2 months on tragedies like Sandy Hook

This isn't even in the same ballpark as normal graffiti.

It could be something. We don't know. You don't get threats in bathroom graffiti that often. Like I said it's probably nothing but you never know. I'd rather know there's any type of threat than not.
If you can't tell the difference between normal bathroom graffiti and something threatening to kill people then I can't help you...

How will your daily routine change now that you know about this "threat"?

Well I'll probably skip class tomorrow since I don't have anything important to do on campus tomorrow. But if I was going, I would be on the alert for anything suspicious or anyone acting a little weird.

I dont know about AU but at Bama there is a good number of people that carry on campus. Not really concealed carry but keep them in their trucks/cars. I always had my .40 in my truck.

How do y'all get away with this? Most, if not all, college campuses have absolutely no firearms on the campus regardless of circumstance....

Its not like cars get searched often. When I lived in the dorms I had to make sure my gun was hidden whenever they did the fire alarm checks and shite.
ETA: although I think you could register a shotgun or rifle with the university to have it allowed. Not 100% sure on that though.

You should call the AU police and tell them it was your jackass co-worker that wrote that on the wall.

I have no idea how many people disregarded that rule (as I know some friends who would get up and go dove hunting before their first class) and things may have changed in the meantime.

Yeah the rule is no guns on campus but they actually have no legal right to enforce it because campus is a municipality.
I asked a UAPD officer about keeping my pistol in my truck and he said as long as I had a concealed carry permit and dont tell anyone there wouldn't be a problem.

Glad they cancelled classes today. Anything that can be done today can be done tomorrow. No need to risk anything.

Completely agree. Hope nothing comes of it but no need to take the risk.

Maybe they should cancel class tomorrow as well.

You know the way to my heart as a student but even I don't believe class should have been canceled
