I'm actually excited to eat there because to be honest I've never heard of the place! I love to try new places. And that surprises me that I've never heard of it because I like to think of myself as all knowing.
So, how does your family know the owner of Copper Creek Distillery? I know the owner's sister very well. Before she moved to Barcelona, Spain, she was a nude model for a very exclusive art group that met at a mansion outside of Springfield on Tuesday nights to draw or paint nude models. I was part of that group of artists.
The nude renderings that I did of that individual are some of the best in my portfolio.

don't be afraid of Papouli's, it's in Reeds Spring and used to be a gas station but it's food is off the charts. good mix of American and Greek. A lot of Greeks drive from all over the area to eat there. when you meet the owners you'll know.
my older brother is good friends with Jim who owns CR. we go by every time I'm home. next will be over Xmas. had my folk bring me the cinnamon infusion kit. basically a few sticks of a cinnamon in a mason jar, pour the CR whiskey in and let sit for 5 days. then add a bag of brown sugar they provide, mix and serve, straight, maybe a cube or two. no lie one of the best whiskeys I have ever had. I highly recommend.

I'll be there in December as well. I think I may buy the kit. Sounds good.
I don't personally know Jim, but like I said earlier, I know his sister, Charity (who happens to be in pictures posted on his website).
Not only was she the best nude model that I've ever worked with, but she also was briefly married to one of my closest friends from college.
Small world.

my brother went to HS and was good friends with Jim's ex-wife, they divorced but we all remained friends with him because he's a great dude. years ago we were sampling his moonshine right when he first started brewing. awesome to see how far he's come. small world indeed.
