Doesn't matter. Feminists will sue. A women's field hockey player isn't afforded the same opportunity to get her name out there as a football player. That violates title IX

They will sue, but they won't have a chance in Hell of winning a suit against the NCAA or any college.

in this day and age if they cry gender discrimination and get enough publicity they could win a law suit against the POTUS. You underestimate the power of public opinion in th social media era and just how stupid the public is.

As long as the schools themselves only pay athletes what is included in their scholarship, then those "feminists" wouldn't have a leg to stand on. Is a court going to tell Nike that they can't enter a contract with an adult athlete?

Female athletes would have the same opportunities as male athletes.

I don't know that the school should necessarily pay them, but I'd have no problem with them obtaining endorsements like Olympic athletes do without losing their athletic status.

And yes, there's a market for women to gain endorsements as well. Missy Franklin is a good example as an Olympic swimmer who turned down a ton of shite just to maintain her collegiate eligibility at Cal.
