hmm this is an interesting question. What country is less socialist than the U.S.? Preferably needs to be a first world country with a fully functional central government. May need it's own thread.

Also apparently O'Reilly has thought this through to his usual extent

Seems like to common sense out there. None of those 3 would be one third as bad as obama. Hillary is a crony capitalist. It reeks of corruption but the economy will be better. Sanders can't pull off any of that crap he wants, not to mention he won't get 35% of the vote. Trump isn't that bad.

You realize the President has no authority to raise taxes, right? They come from Congress, and there is absolutely no way a GOP controlled House is passing a bill to raise taxes to the level Bernie proposes them.

Australia and New Zealand lean to the left also. Western Sahara is the Wild West utopia you're looking for. The only problem is that there you'll all have to actually defend your shite against people taking it from you instead of just fantasizing about it.

Why are we even talking about this?

If Sanders is the democratic nominee (and he won't be) the republicans will win 45 or so states. It doesn't matter if they nominate Trump or Donald Duck.

Despite what the GOP would have you believe, you can't run as an open socialist and win a national election in 2016. Had Obama run as a socialist, he would have been crushed by McCain.

That word still scares too many people, including many on the left.

Yep. It's exciting for lefties and righties to envision Sanders beating Hillary in the DNC primary, but it's not happening.

Sanders will scare the hell out of the Clintons, but he won't be the DNC nominee. If you disagree you can win four dollars for every one you risk. By all means do it.

Shows what a dumb arse mule you are. What grows unemployment is people letting career politicians take coporate donations so they work for the mega corporations. Then they allow these corportations to move all of their factories over seas so they dont have to pay proper wages and pay to keep safe work conditions and clean environments. Then on top of that they allow them to ship all of their goods into the US market without being tariffed so truly made in american products cant compete.

I am all for reducing the length of unemployment and denying those who take advantage of it as lifers. But you also have to keep jobs here so these people have jobs to work. And if these companies still want to move their factories overseas then you at least have to tax their goods when they bring them into our country to sell. You also have to close all the loops holes and make sure they are paying their taxes. These businesses want to be in the US. They wont all leave as Fox News and radio propaganda tells you and any other zombie far right idiot who listens to that garbage.

The economy will crash with mass unemployment. Then, Sanders will step in and support the mass unemployed. That is until he runs out of other people's money. That's the bottom folks and it won't be pretty.

So, let's hear how trickle-down doesn't work. I've never been hired by a poor guy. Have you?

You get it.

The one thing I like about Sanders is that he is not a liar.

The thing I absolutely detest about Obama is that he is a bald faced liar. If his lips are moving he's lying.

Trump or Cruz would shake things up one way or the other, for better or worse ... this country needs a shaking. As my grandpappy used to say, sometimes you gotta make a mess to fix a mess.

Clinton, Rubio ... just more of the same old establishment, corrupt, bullshite.

The bubble is about to burst on the spending, the polarization, the government regulations, the health care system, etc. Until someone returns rights TO THE states and to the people, things are only going to get worse.

None of it is going to affect me. My SS is fully funded. My retirement is safe because I worked hard and saved my whole life and diversified and lived below my means. Hell, if everything collapses I've got enough beans and bullets and freshwater sources and generators and fuel for my family and me to last a long time.

But I seriously worry for my kids and grandkids and all of you. This country is spoiled ... I've lived and worked all over this globe and, by far, this country has become the most spoiled, the most entitled, the most contencious, on this planet. There are other civilizations more savage, far less civilized, but none as insidious as ours has become.

Perhaps we're too free?

In a nation where anything goes .... everything eventually will.
