I had a 32" Samsung flat screen that was that way. SOB had to weigh at least 200 lbs.
Ended up giving it to my friend who ended up giving it away some years later. His craigslist add basically said, it's free, but you're moving the sob.

We have one in our guest bedroom. I have never seen a heavier TV in my life. It's a 32 inch TV as is your dad's but it feels like it's 100lbs heavier than an old 37 inch TV we used to have.

When I graduated College, I went to work for NEC Technologies. We built console TV's. You dont know heavy...

My grandparents have 2 of those and still in working condition.
