USC
UT

Coming to a blank on others. Feel free to add.

For me, USC has always meant U Southern California. and UT has been University of Texas.

I see UT and think Tennessee. 100% honest. Aggies refer to U of Tex so much by TU, that seeing UT is pretty much just Tenn.

USC I think South Carolina on here, but elsewhere, I assume Southern California.

I think in the southeast they definitely refer to South Carolina and Tennessee. Anywhere else around the country (and what I think of) are Southern Cal and Texas. Not trying to disrespect the two SEC programs, but just being honest.

When you type in USC on google and Twitter the first thing you get is the University of Southern California, same thing with UT and Texas, but it all depends on where you live.

Never got the whole "we're the REAL USC" or "we're the real UT" debate. I don't care if Arkansas and Arizona want to call themselves "UA". Doesn't affect us.

USC- Southern Cal, without question. Unless you're in the state of South Carolina, no one else refers to it as USC

UT- I immediately think Texas, because it's more commonly called UT than Tennessee. People just call Tennessee Tennessee

One thing I never understood about the Big 8 is how schools put their state name first and then university in abbreviations, when actually, they're all U of ________

OU- University of Oklahoma
KU- University of Kansas
NU- University of Nebraska
CU- University of Colorado

Indiana does this, but their name actually is Indiana University; as is West Virginia University

And at least you know it doesn't mean Kentucky.

UT - Tennessee (Texas is the tSips)
USC - Southern Cal
USCe - South Carolina (I know some of their fans take this as a slight, but it's really just an identifier and So. Cal has the larger national brand)

More people affiliated with the university call it UTK since it's a state system of schools, but it's common to hear both UT and UTK.

In South Carolina, we are USC. Everywhere else it's Southern Cal.

It's not a big deal except to the casual fans.

I don't mind the e at all. It's Jr. that gets me going. I say whatever when it's LSU or Alabama fans that say it. But when Arkansas or Kentucky fans call us jr?

I prefer SC anyways. Which I know Southern Cal uses as well.
