frick David Stern. I really don't care what good he has done, because in one fail swoop he destroyed any and all respect I ever had for the man.

Man my sports have hit the absolute shitter.

Around 2007-2009 I gave up on the notion that I would never be nervous about the Cowboys and Braves moves just because they had been dominant, but come May-June I could still count on the Lakers.................................................................................................................

Now... frick me.

I'm not gonna pretend to know shite about the NBA. Carter looked good in the playoffs this year, but from what I gathered that was a surprise because his best years were behind him.

He finished 6th in 6 man of the year award voting, shot 40% from 3, and he's still a great play maker. He had an offensive rating of 121 in their playoff series, which is absurd.

This helps as well:

Reason 99 to like Vince Carter deal: He was suspended for the first time in his career last year -- for elbowing Steven Adams in the head.

We would still have Howard imo if that trade was never vetoed. It still pisses me the frick off thinking about Basketball Reasons

Just because fantasy world is better than where we are now, let's think about that starting 5.

CP3
Kobe
?
?
Howard

ETA: I think that is a better rounded "big 3" than the heat. Lebron wouldn't have 2 rings most likely, who knows if he goes back to Cleveland. Just frick frick frick.

We would have had tons of good players taking less to play with that team. And yes, I think that would've been a better big 3 than the Heat's big 3 imo. At least more rounded.

A CP3/Pre injury Kobe backcourt would have easily been the greatest backcourt in nba history I think. Plus, Howard would've been happy to be here with CP3 and we would've gotten the Orlando/Houston version of D12 instead of the sulking, baby back bitch version.

Christ, it still makes my blood boil 3 years later.

So LeBron can opt out next summer and we go through this all again?

No, not really. As much as I hate him Thomas and Dumars, were better. As were the Johnson Scott backcourt.

It hasn't been easy. After meditating it a lot I've chosen to play with the Chicago Bulls. Looking forward to this new chapter of my career

Both of those options are extremely disrespectful to either Kobe Bryant or Chris Paul.

You are ignorant or never saw either of those backcourts play in their prime.

Those players are all good, but not even close to a Kobe CP3 backcourt.

I assume you don't like Kobe or the lakers so somehow this seems justifiable to you, which is what is ignorant.

If you truly think Byron Scott, who never even so much as made an all star game appearance, is in the same realm of player as Kobe or Chris then you might want to get checked. You MIGHT be able to argue Joe Dumars over Chris Paul but I doubt many would agree with you.

It isnt Kobe that is the problem. CP3 is not one of the best PG's imo. The PG is what will make the group better not the SG.

If you paired Wall, Rose, Thomas, Kidd, Westbrook, a prime Nash, with Kobe you would have a legitimate argument.

Problem is you are asking as a group, not as individuals as a group.

Monroe Frazier are top 3 but you guys wont believe it so no need to argue it. And for you guys bagging on Scott/Johnson they are top 5 all time of backcourts, not by me but by guys in NBA and on NBAtv.

Now you're talking. I can get behind this. They are probably #1 in my book.

eta: Especially considering the Kobe/Paul scenario is all hypothetical.

Spur be happy over this me ehhh

I just think people undervalue Scott a bunch as he was not the marquee name in the Lakers.

I also do not think CP3 is great PG he is good, very good, but not great.

Buying a Mills jersey next week to celebrate. Wanted to wait until he re-signed so I didn't jinx it

He is excellent, but not overwhelmingly elite.

Definitely not on Parker's level.

Much to the chagrin of tMSB
