Why anybody would work in non-commission sales is a fricking mystery to me, unless the salary is just ridiculous.

some industries, a commissioned sales rep can have a large portion of the year with no sales. commission = stability, usually they receive some sort of bonus based off a quota though

I can understand the salary+commission, and even the salary+bonus (to a certain extent), but straight salary sales is pointless, IMO.

I'm convinced the "no-commission salespeople" approach is a huge part of why Best Buy is circling the drain as a company. Amazon is another reason, but Best Buy could overcome that with a knowledgeable and motivated sales force.

partly because of amazon and the like, but mostly because of the high overhead and the number of stores. Just think of how much in daily sales it takes to keep one store afloat with the building leases, employees, marketing, etc... its a dying business model.

They're both wakeboard boats, that's what I mainly sell. We also carry pontoons and runabouts which is what my older colleague specializes in.
